Our Board

Dr. Lee is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Virginia Dental Association, the Peninsula Dental Society, and past president of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also served as committee chairman for the AAOMS in Healthcare Advocacy. He has been an adjunct faculty member of Eastern Virginia Medical School Department of Otolaryngology and the Medical College of Virginia Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Published professional works of Dr. Lee include book chapters for Clinics of North America, magazine articles for Clinical Updates, and scientific articles for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has lectured nationally and internationally on Sleep Related Breathing Disorders. He is the designer and developer of the Genial Bone Advancement Trephine Surgical Procedure and the medical instruments used for the surgery in conjunction with the Stryker Liebinger Corporation. Dr. Lee also designed and developed the OSA Plating System in cooperation with the Osteomed Corporation.

Dr. Lee has a beautiful family; a son, Justin, who is married to Sloan with three children; Barrett, Augusta, and Maggie and a daughter Erin, who is married to Mark McFarland, an orthopedic spine surgeon with the Orthopedic and Spine Center, and a son West.

Dr. Lee enjoys his time outdoors boating, flying, fishing, and hunting. Most of his time is spent with his family and providing care for the community.

Toni is an instructor and trainer with adept speaking skills, her career has led her to train professionals and managers in the skills of their job performance and professional development. Toni’s skills include management, planning, organization, project coordination, logistics, vendor sourcing, materials management, job cost analysis, budget control and network management, as well an astute liaison between military and civilian communities.

Toni currently resides in Yorktown, Virginia and is a community leader serving on multiple boards. An active member of the York County Citizens Advisory Board, Vice President of a local BNI networking organization, board member of the Lackey Free Clinic in Yorktown, an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She also has the distinction of being chosen as the first African American female President of the York County Chamber of Commerce in 2020, re-elected in 2021 continuing her role dedicated to serving, promoting and representing small businesses and voicing their interests and concerns in the county. Now serving as the Immediate Past President Toni has also served on other local boards such as the Social Butterflies Foundation and a former President of the York/Poquoson Social Services Board.

Toni has CCAF Degrees in Telecommunications Management, Education and Training Management, a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University in Adult Workforce Education and Development as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr. Hemstock’s impressive career path includes extensive dental technology training and advanced course work in precision removable, combination crown and bridge, laser welding, and dental attachments and implants. He participated in the occlusion program at Pankey Institute and has a background in guided surgery using cone-beam, diagnostic design, and manufacturing. Mr. Hemstock received his Certified Dental Technician licenses in dental crown and bridge, as well as partial dentures. He has lectured and taught hands-on courses in Level 1 trauma centers and in clinical and laboratory settings. In his spare time, Mr. Hemstock has facilitated new product development with several implant manufacturers nationally and internationally.

Like all of the technicians at Valley Dental Arts, Mr. Hemstock embraces the importance of what he does, knowing what he and his fellow craftspeople create will dramatically impact the quality of a patient’s life.

After 911, flew the FBI G-5 numerous locations over the world including Baghdad and Afghanistan supporting DOJ’s numerous renditions related to 911. 

November 2017 received the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for 50 years of aviation. 

Mr. Knouff’s FAA license includes FAA airline transport pilot for airplane and helicopter, gold seal flight instructor for airplane and helicopter, and type rated in many airplanes and helicopters with 17,000 flight hours. Also, FAA airframe and powerplant mechanic license and FAA designated pilot examiner for airplane and helicopter.

Mark has given over a two-thousand presentations and conducted over 170 business development retreats, including his nationally renowned Achievers Circle. As the architect of a unique, business development philosophy, Mark shares ten best practices centered on money, focus, and marketing. He has authored or co-authored seven books on how to grow a business or professional practice.

In fact, Mark was recently honored as the Dental Author of The Year.

He has completed the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Northern Spain, a 500-mile walk, three times, which inspired his writing of his signature book Never Be the Same. Mark has been asked to share his expertise with Siemens Hearing Division, Sun America Mutual Funds, Smith Barney, and J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, and many dental organizations. He is a member of the National Speakers Association and served as the National president in 2007-2008. He was inducted into the Minnesota Speakers Association Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2023, Mark was inducted into the NSA Speakers Hall of Fame.

He is married to Sweet Ann and they live in Edina, Minnesota. They adopted two pandemic puppies named Sweet Bella and Princess Gia – in his words…two seven-pound adorable terrorists. Mark is a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews! Away from work, he enjoys playing cards, watching movies, and sharing time with family and friends.

But product perfection wasn’t the only standard Mr. Maragos envisioned for his business.

Mr. Maragos’ heritage is family-centric. Whatever the need or concern, it has always been “family first,” and he was determined to extend “family status” to every one of his dentist clients. His relationship-focused model of doing business worked as he grew Valley Dental Arts to become a national leader in delivering uncompromising quality, not only in craftsmanship but also in customer service.

Known as “The Father of Contemporary Diagnostics”, Mr. Maragos is one of only three dental artisans in the nation to be accredited through membership in the American Society for Dental Aesthetics (ASDA), where he also serves on the board. A member of the internationally renowned Oral Design Group, Mr. Maragos has lectured globally on laboratory communication, aesthetics, computer-aided design, and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. He received the best design award and a letter of appreciation from the Leading Dentist Association (LDA) in Japan. He is co-author of “Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry: Material Selection Technique” (1st ed.), and has served as a clinical instructor at Baylor University.

For more than 50 years, Dr. Steil has been a leading professional educator,
speaker, trainer, consultant, author, and business professional trained in
the areas of Speech, Psychology, Listening, Leadership, and Organizational Communication. Dr. Steil has helped professionals throughout 19 countries listen better and achieve more.

In addition, Dr. Steil was founder and first President of the International Listening Association; author and co-author of five books; creator of the first Effective Listening Video Program; and, architect of the renowned Sperry Listening Program. He has earned the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) and the CLP (Certified Listening Professional) designations and has been inducted into both the National Speaker’s Association, CPAE,”Speaker’s Hall of Fame”, the Minnesota “Speaker’s Hall of Fame” and, the International Listening Association’s “Listening Hall of Fame”. Dr. Steil was selected as the ILA’s 1st “Listening Legend” and a Veteran Speakers “Legend of Professional Speaking”. In addition, the University of Minnesota, College of Arts, and the Education Foundation and Albert Lea High School have honored Dr. Steil as a “Distinguished Alumni”.
